On 27 December 2018, more than 4000 students and teachers gathered on the sports field of Shuangliu Middle School to watch the school’s New Years Party performances. In addition, over 13000 spectators also watched a live internet broadcast of the show.

With the help of the school’s entire staff and mutual encouragement among the students and teachers, it turned out to be an incredibly successful evening that drew the recognition and admiration of not only parents, but also of many leaders in the region. The New Years Party is a celebration of students’ diverse skills and a wonderful platform for students to showcase their talents. The evening included performances of “Setting Fire to My Red Wish”, “The Nutcracker”, “Stormy Snow over the Plateau” as well as many other outstanding items. Although it was a cold and wet evening, no amount of rain could dampen the students spirit or dim their performances on stage.

In addition to the New Years show, this evening was also an opportunity to honor some outstanding students. This year, as a form of encouragement to all students to work hard and further develop their skills and talents, the school handed out awards for integrity, leadership, morality and outstanding development to deserving students.

The purpose of this event was not only to allow students a stage to showcase their many talents, but also an opportunity for students to be creative and increase their aesthetic abilities.
